Vision / Mission

SBDC’s Vision/Mission is…

Outreach

… reaching out to others with the love of God.

Deliverance

… introducing others to the life changing power of the Word of God.

Discipleship

… making of disciples through Biblically- based teaching from the Word of God.

History:

Snellville Biblical Deliverance (SBDC) was founded by Dr. Jason E. Owen. From its inception, SBDC has been providing Biblically-based deliverance through the simple, practical teaching of the Word of God.

Its Vision of “Outreach, Deliverance, and Discipleship… through the Word of God” was given by God to Dr. Owen while he was residing in Brooklyn, NY and serving under the leadership of the late Bishop James F. Copeland of Brooklyn Tabernacle Deliverance Center.

In 1997, Dr. Owen and his family relocated to Snellville, GA and subsequently in 1998, the vision was established with a Bible Study that was held around the kitchen table of the Owen’s home. During the Ministry’s tenure in the home, God was faithful. The foundation of the Ministry took form and its spiritual structure was erected. The Ministry has seen the miraculous move of God as He, through His word has brought deliverance into the lives of many.

In 2005, Dr. Owen, being led by the Spirit of God, passed the mantle of shepherding SBDC to his wife, Janine A. Owen, as he pursued the apostolic call upon his life. The foundation laid by Dr. Jason E. Owen has paved the way for the Ministry to continue to grow.

Under the leadership of Pastor Janine A. Owen, SBDC’s main focus has been to take the church outside of its walls by going into the community and sharing the powerful, life-changing, destiny altering Word of God to anyone who would listen. Through this practical approach, many have come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord a countless number of God’s people have been revived and restored to their first love and to the service of the Master once again.

As SBDC pursue the mandate of God, we with excitement anticipate the fulfillment of Mark 16:20 which says” And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word through accompanying signs.” NKJV

What We Believe

  • There is one God, eternally existing in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God became man, without ceasing to be God. Was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might unto man reveal God and redeem man from sin.John 1:1,2,14; Luke 1:35
  • Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross and, that our justification is made sure by His physical resurrection from the dead.Romans 3:24,25; 1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5
  • Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is sitting at the right hand of God making intercession for us.Acts 1:9,10; Hebrews 7:25; Romans 8:43; 1 John 2:1-2
  • The Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. He teaches and guides believers into all truth; and that it is the privilege and duty of all who are saved to be filled with the Spirit.John 16:8-11, 13; 2 Corinthians 3:6; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13,14; 1 John 2:20; Ephesians 5:18

  • Jesus will return to take all who have accepted Him as Savior to live with Him for eternity.Acts 1:11
